“I would definitely recommend for someone to volunteer abroad because the experience is just one that cannot be recreated by staying within your boundaries. It challenges you outside of your comfort zone, but in a meaningful way where you get to give back to society.” – Sylvia T. – Hong Kong
Volunteering abroad is an amazing opportunity no matter your age, background or experience.
All volunteers offer their own unique skills and are welcomed with open arms!
High School Students & Teen Volunteers
Volunteering abroad in high school is a great way to start exploring the world while making a difference! Whether it’s your first time abroad or you’ve traveled out of the country before, our programs are a unique opportunity you won’t want to miss. Teen volunteer projects are developed and organized with teens in mind. You’ll be immersed culturally in a local community with a group of 12-15 international teens from all over the world.
Gain confidence, take on a challenge, learn new skills, meet new people, make a difference, and most importantly… HAVE FUN!
“My VFP project was a truly unforgettable experience. I met many amazing and interesting people from all over the world! The participants were from Spain, France, Italy, China, Ukraine, Russia, Estonia, and Turkey. We worked together to build a playground from the ground up for the local children in Singen.” – Matthew S. – Germany

Gap Year Volunteering
Taking some time off before college (or after, or whenever really) is a wonderful opportunity to explore your interests and the world around you. Our volunteer programs are a great opportunity during a gap year to volunteer, develop your areas of interest, learn new skills and experience diverse cultures. The stats on gap years are not officially recorded, but the trend has been growing over the last decade. Colleges are beginning to realize the benefits of gap years on incoming students; in fact Harvard’s acceptance letter now encourages them!
“One new perspective I have brought back to my daily life is to appreciate everything, the good and the bad. I have always been a positive person, but my volunteer experience abroad has taught me how important it is to let go of the little inconvenience in life and really appreciate the small things.” – Karisa D. – Nepal
